Using your Mobile Sauna
Key info about operation, towing, benefits and care.
Between 100 °F and 200 °F, depending on your heat source. Our wood-burning stoves tend to heat faster and can maintain higher temperatures.
A standard 2" ball hitch and a flat 4-pin connection for brake lights and signals. We recommend adjusting the hitch height to 18" from ground to ball center for a smooth tow.
Store in a dry, well-lit area to keep your solar charged and your cedar protected. Leave the door open after use to allow ventilation and prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to mold or mildew.
Yes, our Himalayan salt-lined saunas are covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects.
In Oregon, no registration is required due to its size. However, we provide everything needed for optional registration, including a VIN, bill of sale and Certificate of Origin. For other states we ask our customers to check their local and state regulations regarding trailer registration and insurance.
Care, cleaning & maintenance
What to expect and how to keep things in top condition.
Wood stove-heated saunas will need cleaning periodically. Sauna stones should be rearranged and cleaned about once a year. Ash should be cleaned out after each use, and the chimney should be maintained regularly. Refer to the M3 cleaning tips below, and follow the manufacturer's stove cleaning recommendations. For the best results, we recommend using Harvia’s cleaning kits or a vinegar-and-dawn mix for routine maintenance.
The exterior of the Sauna is sealed with a low VOC oil finish. Sealing the interior is not necessary but you can if you prefer. Paraffin oil, like northern lights group sauna sealant, or 100% tung oil are good options for sealing the interior—make sure to allow the oil to cure fully (1-10 days depending on climate). For exterior protection, apply a clear stain and sealer, based on your usage and outdoor exposure. We recommend sealing every 6–12 months, depending on use and climate conditions.
Over time, your Himalayan salt bricks will need replacement. Salt crystals naturally break down with use, but they easily slide out of their mounting slot. Do not seal the salt, as it needs to be exposed to heat for its healing benefits. When cleaning, gently scrape off excess salt using a plastic scraper.
We strongly recommend insuring your Mobile Sauna. Contact Tony Core at Farmers Insurance for coverage options or do your own research to find the best policy.
The chimney and connection pipes should be cleaned regularly, especially if the sauna has been unused for a while. Failing to clean can cause soot buildup, which may lead to chimney fires.
In case of a chimney fire: Close the ash box and stove door, and immediately contact your local fire authority.
Do not attempt to extinguish the fire with water.
Have your stove and chimney inspected by a professional after a chimney fire.

The Harvia M3 wood stove
What you need to know.
Empty the ash box regularly. Periodically clean soot and ashes from the stove’s smoke channels using the provided soot openings. Do not use the stove with wet wood or treated materials, as this can affect combustion and efficiency. For a safer and more efficient fire, use dry, clean wood. Never burn synthetic materials or garbage in the stove.
Understanding the benefits
Sauna health benefits, recovery support and daily rituals that last.
Sauna sessions offer a wide range of wellness benefits, including improved circulation, reduced stress, enhanced cardiovascular function and support for natural detoxification. As a regular practice, saunas can also improve sleep and help regulate your nervous system—making them a powerful part of your wellness routine. 2-4 session a week is beneficial for most people.
Yes. Heat therapy benefits include reduced muscle soreness, improved oxygen flow and faster lactic acid breakdown. Athletes and movement professionals often use saunas post-exercise to support healing and performance.
While your liver and kidneys are your body’s primary detox organs, a sauna encourages heavy metal and toxin elimination through sweat. The added benefit of Himalayan salt helps purify the air and support respiratory wellness.
Before: Hydrate and shower to remove any lotions or oils.
After: Cool down gradually, rehydrate, and rest to allow your body to adjust.
For beginners, start with 10–15-minute sessions. As you become accustomed, you can extend to 20–30 minutes. Always listen to your body and stay hydrated.
